I liked this book but I didn't feel emotionally invested in the characters, as some other reviewers seemed to have been. The dialogue to me just didn't feel very natural and the constant repeating got on my nerves a little.
I enjoyed the story of the developing friendship between Ari (love this name BTW) and Dante and I liked that there was no real plot. I'm a fan of books that follow people as they live their day-to-day life. Things happen, but no unifying action.

All the great things I heard about this book are true. :) And a bonus - Lin Manuel Miranda read the audio version!
One of the best books I've ever read. Everyone should read this book. Longer review to come later.

I finally read this! I listened to the audiobook narrated by Lin Manuel Miranda.
While I didn't connect personally with this book and the characters, like many people do, I really enjoyed it. I think it was the timing that didn't let me sink into it.
I really enjoyed how the story of Ari and Dante's friendship was told and that the book didn't limit itself to just the two characters but really explore each of their struggles and complexities. I loved that both their families were a huge part of t ...more
