It started off well but quickly faded into an unoriginal storyline. The writing is good but the plot felt tedious and worn out. By the time I finished the book I felt let down by a predictable trope. Perhaps for a younger more inexperienced reader this book would be worth the read. There was nothing terrible about it but it just lacked the punch I was hoping for after such a strong start.
