What Members Thought
After the last book I read in this series, I was so pleased to get back to a straight forward mystery, if a mystery can be called straight forward. Although Campion did make an entrance into this story, it was more about Charles Luke as the detective. The villain here was a pretty clever man, and Allingham did a great job at making him thoroughly despicable and completely without conscience, and yet the people around him were fooled.
