This was a fun Agatha Christie outing! I remember seeing the dramatization starring David Suchet as Poirot, but I could not remember anything about the plot. I listenEd to the Hugh Fraser narration audiobook (always a pleasure), alternating with the Kindle Ebook.

Once again, as with our last Christie book (Cat Among the Pigeons), there is a Cold War spy angle, and again, Poirot is somewhat in the background until well into the action. There is also a rather convenient coincidence – young Colin La ...more

This one had a great premise and likeable characters. Poirot's involvement in the story is negligible. She must have really been getting sick of him at this point. ...more

I wondered about continuing reading this as I had just seen the production on PBS. But they are different. For one thing, they didn't even include my favorite character, a little girl with a broken leg who turns out to be a great witness. For another, the stories were a bit different.
