Shelves: my-5-star-reads

Fantastic. It shouldn't work as well as it does. I mean, it's basically interview after interview, with five people all telling Poirot their version of what happened 16 years ago when Amyas Crale died of poisoning. And then they do it all over again, as we read their written accounts of the day that Poirot has asked them to produce. It should have been tedious. It was gripping.

Although I guessed at whole thing, it was clever. I’m always assumed when AC tricks me. So it was exciting expecting to be corrected the whole time. But then, it’s just fun being right every once in a while. On top of that AC’s writing is always so cool and clean.
