I know a lot of these books are somewhat far-fetched, with all the coincidences that happen, but this was probably the book with the most. It made it a little disappointing for me. There had been a small clue as the the identity of the murderer, but the answer was some how so incredulous, that I doubt many picked up on it. It was still an entertaining read but not one of the best.

This was a re-read for me. I love Agatha Christie mysteries and Hercule Poirot is one of my favorites. Simon Lee, an elderly millionaire, has called his family to come home for Christmas. They are all estranged from their father except for one brother who has continued to live with and work for Simon Lee. Hercule Poirot is visiting with his friend,a police inspector in the area, and is called to the home when the old man is found murdered.
