Bit different this time. Poirot asked for help by someone but unfortunately too late for him to stop the deed. Although it is too late to stop a murder being committed he still feels the need to follow it up. Some amazing facts get discovered, and some lies are told by Poirot instead of him being lied to, which is usually the way. Loved the dog Bob, and the way we get told what is going through his mind.

The characters in the novel could have been better to get this story from a 3 to a 5-star rating. But a good a story nevertheless. Agatha Christie still remains the undisputed champion of crime writing!
