Lunchtime Listen April/May 2024
I have to say this is still a real favourite of mine as far as Poirot is concerned. It also has the excellent Superintendent Battle and Mrs Ariadne Oliver, as well as a brief appearance by Colonel Race. A real cornucopia of detectives. 4 Agatha Christie sleuths and 4 people who have got away with murder and all 8 of them are invited to a dinner party by a man who knows all of their secrets. Naturally he turns up dead, but which of them committed the crime? I loved this plot and can't believe I haven't read it until now. This was a fairly slow paced book with lots of talk of psychology rather than any tangible clues to go after. This is the first novel Ariadne Oliver has appeared in and she is definitely Agatha Christie fiction

This novel was like Christie's other novels that i read. I like this book and its ending was unexpected. However, the ending didn't take me by surprise like other novel.
