Mr. Shaitana hosts an odd bridge/dinner party and invites eight dinner guests - four detectives (including Hercule Poirot) and four people he claims have committed perfect murders. However, no one who knows what group each guest belongs to. During the party, the party host Mr. Shaitana is murdered - and he is not the last of the ensuing murders. I’ve read this one multiple times - most recently just a year and a half ago - and seen a play version of it and somehow STILL misremembered who did it and gasped when it was revealed. Truly the queen of misdirection!

totally not what i was expecting. but, don't ask what i was expecting. solid h.p. fare. i loved that the victim here was such a stephen tennant wannabe.
