I kind of loved that we found out Poirot is a practicing Catholic!

The woman narrator took away from the story because her men's voices were either nasally or extra nasally.

There are some mysteries full of characters I love so much I spend the entire book wishing all of them could be innocent. Then there are books where pretty much everyone is unlikable and I don't care which of them did it. Unfortunately this is one of those books. Set in an archaeological dig at Mesopotamia, my favorite part of this story is the narrator, a nurse whose job is to tend a married woman suffering from anxiety and nerves.
