What Members Thought
This is an early Poirot (1928), and Christie has not yet hit her stride. But as many have said before, a so-so Christie is better than the vast majority of other mysteries. Characters, I thought, were well-developed and a reminder not to be fooled by first impressions. Even though about halfway through, I had an inkling who the villain was, I ultimately enjoyed it and didn't guess the intricacies of the plot or how the crime was carried out.
