Unexpected ending just like Agatha Christie style .
The crime happened early and i liked that though, i found it a little bit boring later ..
All in all, not a bad book and i'll keep reading Agatha Christie's novels but i think i prefer Poirot more than Marple. I like the way he thinks, the way he observes people around him and the way he came up with the whole explanation. He makes you think with him throughout the book. ...more

3.5 !! Sure shot. It's an Agatha Christie novel.. what else you need.. go for it... Twist is good but not very effective... I think we have reached a stage/age where the twists don't affect us... Whatever be the twist..

The mystery, I think, isn't the most difficult one to solve, but the solution requires a good dose of Miss Jane Marple's wisdom. The description and the story of the Crackenthorpe family give some insights about the living in England post war (First World War, I guess). An entertaining plot! ...more
