A brilliant AC mystery that starts with a friend of Miss Marples allegedly seeing a murder whilst travelling on a train. Despite reporting it both at the station at which she disembarked and and also the next day with Miss Marple at the local Police station, Elspeth McGillicuddy is not believed.

Unexpected ending just like Agatha Christie style .
The crime happened early and i liked that though, i found it a little bit boring later ..
All in all, not a bad book and i'll keep reading Agatha Christie's novels but i think i prefer Poirot more than Marple. I like the way he thinks, the way he observes people around him and the way he came up with the whole explanation. He makes you think with him throughout the book. ...more

Something Happens in a Train
With an engaging opening and a diverse group of characters, this story runs well. The description and the story of the Crackenthorpe family give some insights about the living in England post war (First World War, I guess). An entertaining plot! ...more
