Elspeth McGillicuddy is on her way by train to visit her old friend Miss Marple. The train she is on runs side by side for a moment with another train and Elspeth sees a man with his back to her strangling a woman in a fur coat. Mrs. McGillicuddy saw a murder from her train window but there is no other evidence or a body and no one believes her. She turns to her friend Miss Jane Marple to help her.

I love Miss Marple and how she is always a step ahead of everyone else in figuring out the crime. There are lots of red herrings and plot twists. Fun read.

But eventually, Miss Marple with her feminine touch figures out who the murderer is. I was too hopeful for the story to be something ...more
