I rarely say this, but in this case, I like the movie—or rather, the 1985 BBC TV adaptation—better. Full review to come.

Agatha Christie fooled me again! I loved this book so much. It had everything, a story about a man moving to a small town with his sister. He is recovering from a flying accident and his doctor recommended rest. Instead, he found a town seething with secrets and eventually murder. There are two romances I didn't see coming (well, one I did.)

Someone is sending anonymous accusatory letters to people all over town. After receiving one of the nasty letters a woman takes her own life. The police can't solve the case so the vicar's wife decides to call in an expert, Miss Marple, to save the day.
