I have been hanging out for a 5★ read that wasn't a reread or a cookbook & I had high hopes for this particular title. Sayers is my new favourite Golden Age writer (sorry Agatha!) & she had been a copywriter herself.

One of the problems I've had with this series is that some of the books are "of it's time", this one could be set today and still be as fresh and relevant. I think if you were to recommend a Wimsey book for people to start off with then this would be the one.

I had a horrible headache today and needed something to take the edge off. I'd read this before and suddenly really wanted to read it again. I found it really enjoyable. Wimsey has some aggravating characteristics, but he was not as inane as he can be and it was just a really good book.
