Lord Peter Wimsey somewhat reluctantly is asked by a lawyer friend to investigate the time of death of an old member of one of his clubs, 90 year old General Fentiman. The General was found dead in his chair at the Bellona Club. Time of death is critical as it impacts the beneficiary of the will of his sister, who dies at more or less the same time. I’ve been a long time Agatha Christie fan and recently started reading Margery Allingham. That is when Dorothy L. Sayers came up as a suggested author for me here on Goodreads. And do I wish I had discovered her sooner! I really enjoyed this book and I like Lord Peter Wimsey. The story was engaging and the characters interesting. I will definitely be reading more of her books.
