The second of Sayers mysteries starring Lord Peter Wimsey. This one involves Wimsey's elder brother, the Duke of Denver, and his sister Lady Mary. Denver is accused of murder after the body of Lady Mary's fiance is found in his conservatory. Very complicated and involved plot with a huge number of red herrings, and a vast cast of characters.
