This book was breathtaking.

I've always looked at this series with mild distaste, not even bothering to read the back. Just a week ago I was at a bookstore and felt like looking at it. I bought it that night after reading parts of it.

I quickly fell in love with every character. I even loved Chairman Meow. Jace was probably my favorite. He was cool, sexy, and a bad boy...but he was emotional and showed his emotions only to Clary. And Clary was a character that I actually can relate to and enjoy re ...more

Mortal Instruments is a well cast book with amazing detail in all the characters and scenes. There are millions of books but none are like the Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments. this book is AWESOME!!
it was probably one of the best books ive read in a long long time
its filled with action, adventure, mystery, magic, and fantasy.

**SPOILER ALERT**

i HATED the end where we find out that jace and clary are actually brother and sister. that sucks! and i hated it that jace sides with valentine. HE HATED HIM!! so what happened? i absolutely hate valentine for being so persuasive and powerful

I have learned from the best. Pick a book based on its cover and you will rarely be disappointed. I was not. I was hooked by page 50 and scrambled to get the second one for the irrational fear of someone getting it before me. Amazing!!!
