I liked the new spin on the folktale. The book gave me the uniqueness I was craving as far as plots, and I enjoyed the characters and setting.
But as interesting as it was, the demon/faerie things and the smallgods didn’t sit well with me. The creepy possessions of the one and the concept of making a human into a god by praying to them ... yeah, I didn’t like that part, and unfortunately, the whole crux of the story tested on it.

Finished!! 5th book for #TackleTBR. This was a good one. Review to come.
