Cath may be the most selfish fangirl. This whole book is all about her, her, her, her, her, her, her when it comes to fandom.
I am not a huge "fandom" person. I've never been to a midnight release for anything, I've never tried writing fanfiction, and the only fandom that I've been in that lasted longer than a few months was sports fandoms. So I may not be the best person to judge a book about fandoms and fangirls. But I do know that the most important part of sports fandom to me ...more

“You give away nice like it doesn't cost you anything.”
Genre: Young Adult.
Number of Pages: 481.
Perspective: Third.
Location: Nebraska.
This story is about Cath in her first year of college but she feels alone when her very opposite twin sister refused to share a dorm room. Cath is forced out of her comfort zone since she would much rather write fan fiction and get lost in a fantasy world than party with her sister or roommate.
So, this book is very interesting because the story within this story ( ...more

(view on my blog: https://tinyobsessions.wordpress.com/... )
With a title like this, I just had to read this book. A few weeks ago, after prowling the bookstores of Lisbon and Barcelona for an English copy, I finally found one… in Oxford, obviously (it was 1 of the 9 books I brought from my recent trip to the UK). The cover is gorgeous, so having just finished Love at First Type, I decided that Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell would be ...more

Really 4,5 (Goodreads really need to get half stars)
I really enjoyed this, it hit close to home. Being a twin I recognised so many things in this book. Feeling like the spare one, the weak one or the one that people just get as part of the package deal. I was absorbed in books and comics from a young age while my twin was more sporty and social. All my hobbies was things I could do by myself in my own company while she craved people and "noise".

This book was so cute! Cath and her twin sister are starting their freshman year of college. They have Been struggling with the fact that their mother left when they were young. They both cope with their issues in different ways. Cath has barricaded herself in the world of fan fiction. She has to learn not to let her passion for fiction overtake her reality. This book touches on so many topics love, jealously, sibling rivalry, self confidence, mental health and much more.

Rainbow Rowell writes characters that can relate to anyone. Everyone has something they are obsessed with and whether it's books, a certain band, a person, etc. there will be a wake up call. You may not have had it yet, but there are important things in life. We should try to figure out what they were just like Kath had to.

I'm in love with this book, I litterally had to pause for 5 minutes before I could accept that it finished. I found myself googling what happens after Fangirl. (I know) I adored it. Laughed so much. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
