Friends to lovers is one of my favorite types of reads. Promise Me Always demonstrated exactly why watching two friends who have a strong attraction and powerful connection impossible to ignore gives you a reason to swoon. From early on it's plain to see that Blake and Tessa are meant to be, but past insecurities and demons get in the way of what seems perfect, forcing these two lovers to decide what's right for them. Promise Me Always is a beautiful story about fighting demons from a horrible past and finding yourself worthy of being loved.
Blake and Tessa are the type of characters I want to hang out with, have a drink, or grab a burger. They're real. They're flawed and filled with self doubt. Both have been chipped away at by their pasts, but together, they're beautiful.
I can't wait to read more about the secondary characters. Cam and Cara, anyone? ...more
