I read ten pages in October and forgot and then started over. I enjoyed the book and now I want to read The Odyssey? What a feat.

Madeline Miller does it again! <3 Thank you again for such a lovely story.

Among the easiest five-star ratings I’ve ever given a book. A delectable page-turner, you are coming for the soap opera squabbles amongst divinities and the heroes and the monsters and the vapid nymphs and the heart-warmth that comes from watching someone down-trodden as they locate their strengths. You are staying for the porcine transfigurations and the shit-talking.

This might be the platonic ideal of a "totally get why everyone loves it, but super not for me" book.
