If the measure of a writer is her ability to inspire belief in her characters, then I think Tana French is pretty darn brilliant.

Ending was a little lame. Resolved one issue but not the other. The writing is decent enough that I'll read the second one. At times it's a page turner but it could have cut a whole lot out.

I get it- some of you out there in readerdom were seriously annoyed by this book and on some level I agree. However, it's been a long time since I found a book this hard to put down. Admittedly, I am a sucker for a good murder mystery and the psychological components were fascinating to me as well- so there's that.
