Similar to the Hunger Games in that the dystopian world is fascinating but, unlike many other works in the genre, the author doesn't stop there - he backs it up with a terrific plot and three-dimensional characters. I greatly enjoyed gobbling the whole thing up.

Not sure how to rate this one. The high concept premise and world building are excellent. The twists and plot elements are exciting and surprising. But it is SOOOOO long. He has many sections where he tells you how someone ate a meal, took off a hazard suit, climbed staircases -- everything is spelled out in excruciating detail. And I never felt emotionally invested in the characters, although I was very interested in where the plot would lead and how it would all turn out. An interesting public
