How do I give this book more than 5 stars? Bravo, Douglas Adams.
I'm truly embarrassed it has taken me this long to read it. This is funny, silly, absurd, culturally relevant and extremely smartly written. I found this entertaining from start to finish. It's amazing how many references in real life are directly from this book. I wasn't satisfied with the ending, but I've since learned that there are additional books following this one. So very glad that a number of people recommended this book as something to read when I was searching for books to read from the 70's. Who knew that a book about the end of the Earth could be so amusing? Loved Arthur and how he gamely tries to adjust to life in the new galaxy. Can't wait to read more of the books!
