2023: I read the illustrated version this time. I really enjoyed it, despite a page being torn out by a previous Library patron. Good times.
2019: One thing I learned reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is that it should not, under any circumstances, be rushed! I wanted to finish this before the New Year and I only slowed down at the last two chapters. If anything else, I felt so touched by Dumbledore's explanation of Harry's tragedies.
