I think this is a really engaging story. There were a few things I didn't love, but they are somewhat difficult to articulate. I feel like for how complicated the characters are supposed to be (especially the Wiggin children), their complications were just overly explained, instead of actually characterized by plot or dialogue. I think it's really important to keep in mind that this is a children's book, and NOT to keep in mind the author and his personal life/statements. With those two things, this is a fantastic book. From what I've read, it seems people love this book if they read it as kids, but hate it if they read it as adults, and the above two reasons are probably why.
