This, not counting The Last Battle (which everybody seems to agree is terrible), is my least favorite Narnia book. Heresy, I know. It's the first one, it's the most popular one, etc.

I think part of it is Lewis just got better at writing as he went along, as writers tend to do. Another part is fully me, and I admit that. One of my least favorite fantasy things is travelling.
