I've recently started reading chapter books with my five year old daughter. We began with The Wizard of Oz, which she loved, and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was second on our list. She hung onto every word of this book. Upon reading the last page, she declared it "magical and really weird. Everyone knows that wardrobes don't lead to strange lands! That's just crazy talk!" So there you have it folks. :)
