Jennifer
I really enjoyed this novel! Very character driven and thought provoking. It becomes even more interesting when you remember it was written by a 15 year old girl in the 1960s! She saw her friends getting into trouble and wished they could see that there was good in the world and what was all the fighting for? Plus the classic line “Stay gold Ponyboy, stay gold.” (Stay green, keep your innocence. Inspired by the Robert Frost poem “Nothing Gold Can Stay”)
