So I'm not sure why I waited so long to read anything by Diana Wynne Jones (stubbornness? An everlong to-read list?) Either way, Gail Carriger told the world that this was her idea of a perfect book, and I'm inclined to agree. Maybe it was just what I needed at this time, but I loved every minute of it. ...more

Cute, charming, and funny! I had pretty low expectations, to be honest. But I enjoyed it quite a bit!

Not very much like the movie, bits and pieces were but it's a story where nothing happens and then everything happens and it is resolved all at once. I loved the woman who narrated the audio book. Her welsh accent and voices were great! ...more
