Not everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoyed it. Heartbreaking, yet still hopeful, I often felt as Cathy did about her mother - torn between revolt, hope and love. Definitely not a light read by any means, and, after reading, I did find it surprising that it appears on so many school reading lists. ...more
