Man, I usually love books like this-- lyrical, reflective personal essays-- but this one just didn't speak to me. It was beautifully written, and I could see what she was going for, but I just wasn't feeling it. And I had heard such good things!

Extraordinary. Poetry, memoir, biography, but more than the sum of its parts. I listened to this one, and glad I did. The author was also the reader. To listen to her speak her own words was a privilege.
