Ok don't kill me here, but I have what might be a unique perspective on this book as a person who has never read the Harry Potter series *ducks books, wands, owls and all matter of other objects I wouldn't know about because I never read the books* I've been meaning to read Potter for years, but I'm just a bad person I guess.

Mysteries aren't generally my thing, but I really love Galbraith's writing and characters. Robin and Cormoran practically step off of the page, and I want to hug them both. I love that Cormoran is smart, able to fit in to any social situation, and doesn't get riled by the snobbery or hostility of witnesses. Robin is amazing: especially her intelligence, efficiency, and super-human tact. I heart their relationship.

I really enjoyed listening to this. I don't know if I would have ever guess it was Rowling unless I did a sentence by sentence comparison with Harry Potter, but I loved the pace and the details.
