This might be a case of the wrong book at the wrong time. I only made it through the first 100 pages before calling it quits. It wasn't that I disliked it, but more that I was fairly bored with the book. On the plus side, when faced with reading more of this book versus some of the others I have lying around, I always chose the other books which has helped clear off some of my TBR pile. I'll try this book again another time when maybe I'll appreciate it more.

Maybe I just wasn't in the correct mindset to read this book. I found that it jumped from character to character too much, and I had trouble keeping track of the timeline. I kind of hate nonlinear books. I got that it was a satirical war book, but I kept saying "yeah we get it there's a Catch-22".
I'm not going to say don't read this book, it just wasn't a book for me. ...more

Difficult to get through, very all over the place. But worth it in the end. I can see why it's a classic. I would rate it R, though.
