I have to admit - I almost gave up on this one. It wasn't until I was more than 100 pages in that I finally started to enjoy reading Catch 22. I would advise anyone to try it, and to not get too sucked into the "I don't get it" "Where's the plot?" "I hate this book" sinkhole. Once you stop comparing it to anything else you have ever read and just read it on its own terms, it is actually pretty amazing.

Maybe I just wasn't in the correct mindset to read this book. I found that it jumped from character to character too much, and I had trouble keeping track of the timeline. I kind of hate nonlinear books. I got that it was a satirical war book, but I kept saying "yeah we get it there's a Catch-22".

This book had been on my list for a while since I felt like I was the only one who hadn't read the book in high school. The ridiculous behavior throughout the book is over the top. I felt the book dragged out and the protagonist complained a bit too much. I didn't find this book as entertaining as others had.

The book is a bit lengthy, but still worth the read. I read it just to be able to say I read it. I'm glad I did, too.
