"Fortuna, that vicious slut."

Never has such a great cast of characters been created and corralled into one tome, and so wonderfully, disastrously so. They are largely sad, apathetic, and pitiable. Ignatius is the most loathsome and intriguing of all - delightful to watch from a safe distance, but allow that highly critical, gluttonous, slothful man to touch your life even in the most minimal way and you may very well be sucked into the destructive vortex that is he. 3.75 Woah, this is a rough one to review, just because so much of it was so incredibly unpleasant to read. But at the same time I understand why this is such a classic. It was "good", well written, and interesting, and I particularly loved that it is set in New Orleans. My family and I were staying there when I started reading this, and it does very well capture how quirky the people there are (in a good way).
