It's very interesting to go back and read books that you haven't read since you were younger. The things that were important then seem to small now. I forgot how mean everyone was to each other. A majority of the conversations were filled with hate and insults. And yet they kept going back to each other.

I think this might be one of the only cases where I loved the story itself but hated the majority of the characters. The main focus of the story was Heathcliff and his insane agenda of revenge against all who had wronged him (whether they actually had or not).
