Oh where to begin. I first I hated it, then I loved it, then I hated it and finally I liked it. It is a different style of writing, to be sure, being jerked about different character's thoughts as they change and move throughout the day and evening. It definably was an honest book and I think that might be the whole point. Are we completely honest in our words and actions, no. While I really enjoyed A Room with a View, Woolf's fiction is too abstract for me. Also, I apparently missed learning about the meaning of life during my hum 220 conference in college, because we had class outside the day we finished our discussion of this book, and I got distracted. ...more
