I found it perfect!
The sentences are gorgeous, the characters are layered and unperfect, I wanted to know where it was going.
I find it refreshing to have awful narrators, now and then. When it's well written, it's quite delightful. Even more when the narrator is unreliable.
I think I know what happened to Jamie and Peter, by the way! I may be wrong, but I may be right too. ...more

Started out very strong, but I began to get really irritated with the main character about half way through. The mystery was good, with aspects that surprised me, although I did have some of the facts sussed out very early on.

Amazing. Could not put this one down. The writing was beautiful, the characters fully realized, the story tragic and satisfying. (So good that some minor gripes about the mystery itself can be brushed over.) Will be reading anything else by this author.
