Although I did not like it as I do Emma , Pride and Prejudice , and Sense and Sensibility , I did enjoy this shorter tome. Anne, in particular, is a delightfully sweet protagonist, patient not only in love but with the ridiculousness that surrounds her. I believe that is my only critique - while the heroine is quite different in the books, many of the subordinate characters repeat. Who cannot see the absurdity of Mrs. Jennings or the Bennet girls in the Elliot family? That is, of course, not
