I wanted to read this book for Halloween, and I got it a little late, but it didn't make this book any less terrifying and awe-ful. (Not awful, but awe-ful.) I'm so inspired by the fact that Mary Shelley wrote this, years ahead of her time. Its not even a difficult read, possibly because I ate up all the descriptions of Frankenstein and the monster and his life. Its alien, surreal, and bizarre, even more than the films I've seen. I have a passing knowledge of the Frankenstein story, although most of it comes from parodies/homages to the movies. The novel seems to be very different from the movies I'm aware of. So far it the morals of this story that I have come up with is "Be nice to people who look different, or they might go on a murderious killing spree of your family" and "Revenge does not lead to happiness".
