Reread in the original 1818 text for class, 2018. Definitely one of my favorite classics; great themes and messages and atmosphere. Not sure how to do multiple separate editions on Goodreads again oh well.
First reading (2015):
The beginning threw me off and the language could get repetitive, but overall, good.

I have a passing knowledge of the Frankenstein story, although most of it comes from parodies/homages to the movies. The novel seems to be very different from the movies I'm aware of. So far it the morals of this story that I have come up with is "Be nice to people who look different, or they might go on a murderious killing spree of your family" and "Revenge does not lead to happiness".
