I forgot how much I loved this book.
I remember listening to the Jeff Wayne musical as a child, on endless drives down to London to see my cousins. I remember sharing it at school - why? I don't remember - but I remember that my teacher substituted it for whatever we were reading for a week and being pleased as punch. Since then, I've read the book, watched the film and always, always returned to the musical.

Really not much to say - entertaining enough. I like stories with an average man battling extreme conditions and those Martians were pretty vicious.
