The only reason it isn't a full five star is because I needed just a little more "falling in love" time with the characters. That being said this book literally made me cry!!! I was so freaking mad that I had to stop reading and I didn't think I was going to go back and finish it!!! I couldn't believe Ashleigh would do this to me but after having several drinks I finished the book. So glad I did!!!! Lucian and Gypsy will grab you tight and make you fall in love !!!! ...more

Wow!! I was absolutely captivated from start to the words "The End"

Having read most of A.Zavarelli's books I'm a huge fan of her writing and previous books but Confess was another level altogether, I felt entranced and could not put this book down.

Confess begins with the introduction of Gypsy who is a con artist in Vegas, she's a beautiful woman who uses what she's got to get what she wants, Gypsy is a highly intelligent woman and a seductress who has just finished a big job that has earned he Wow!! I was absolutely captivated from start to the words "The End"

Having read most of A.Zavarelli's books I'm a huge fan of her writing and previous books but Confess was another level altogether, I felt entranced and could not put this book down.

Confess begins with the introduction of Gypsy who is a con artist in Vegas, she's a beautiful woman who uses what she's got to get what she wants, Gypsy is a highly intelligent woman and a seductress who has just finished a big job that has earned herself and her sister who she cares for a pretty packet but when she is approached by Lucian, a lawyer who knows everything about her, including her dark past, has watched her and plans to expose all her dark secrets her only lifeline is the ultimatum he gives her.

Gypsy's life as she knows it is turned upside down. Gypsy is a woman who is a survivor and like all her jobs does what she has to do to protect herself and her sister.

They say you can't con a con man but Lucian definitely has the upper hand, what Gypsy didn't know was it was the lifeline she would never expect.

So mysterious and full of jaw-dropping surprises, I found myself saying "Wow" more than once throughout Confess.

Gypsy has no choice but to agree to the terms to protect herself and her sister and so many twists and turns happen from this point in the story. Seriously good stuff.

He leaned his forehead against mine, dark lashes softly caressing his cheeks. “Don’t fall in love with me, Gypsy.”
“Then don’t make me,” I whispered.
“I can’t love you back.”
“Because of her?”
“No.”
He didn’t give me further explanation, but it didn’t matter. It felt true. And I think we both needed it to be true.
It was the only way to protect ourselves.

Lucian is a puzzle. One minute he's the bad guy, cruel even, then the next his softness is showing through the cracks.

"I lived under a life of perpetual rain until she came along, and now my life was filled with colour"

"He was an enigma. A man who essentially blackmailed me into marriage and threatened to send me to prison at every opportunity, but one who apparently concerned himself with my soul. It didn't make sense"

Confess is a highly addictive story where once you let the character's in, you just can't get enough. Lies, shocking truths, heartwarming and heartbreaking moments, danger and hot erotic moments too, Confess had everything I love that makes this an unputdownable read.

A Zavarelli blew me away with Lucian and Gypsy's story. I'm hoping for more, I'm hoping for Birdie's story next, Gypsy's sister, who had her own dark past too and carried her own secrets.

This book! Urghhhh I officially hate A Zavarelli!! This fucking book made me cry so bad, and not just cry it was ugly snots and tears and everything else accompanied with it. It was beautiful! Although the romance felt more of a parental relationship at first but I kinda slowly bought into it. I hated how he treated her at first. The book was so fucking heartbreaking at a certain point that I cannot even explain how awful I felt. Gosh. Loved it!
