Cormac O'Connell, if there ever was a man who put life, death, self before the love of his life and wife, it's this man.

Aftermath is a continuation of Hurricane so if you haven't read this I suggest you read that first, I loved Hurricane and highly recommend it.
Alpha male, hotness, possessiveness and a fighter to the core, if you like your heroes this way this story is for you.
Aftermath is told in Con's pov, as Em has to face the trial of Frank who abused her for years and ...more

This is the continuation of O'Connell and Emily's story from The Hurricane. I loved the first book so I was excited to get more from this couple. It was also told in O'Connell's POV so I was excited to get into the head of this tough but sweet character.
Emily was kind, compassionate and shy but without appearing like a doormat. There were characters that were too good and gentle that they became boring, but not Emily. Gentle didn't mean weak though. On the contrary, she was such a strong heroine ...more

Solid read. Awesome follow up to The Hurricane. Good story and development of characters. Loved that it was told from his POV. I really got a sense of the love between the characters and the sense of family they shared. I liked seeing Cormac grow and evolve to this strong level-headed human being. I have to say, this one will definitely will tap into your emotions for sure. Highly recommend you give this read a try, it is sure to take you on a suspenseful emotional ride.

DISCLAIMER TO MY FELLOW GOODREADER
This review is my personal opinion and may contain: spoilers, quotes, rants and swearing.
Cormac "the Hurricane" O'Connell has only known fighting since he was introduced to his trainer (and father figure). His friends are more like brothers. Together they welcomed 21 year old Emily "Em" McCarthy into the fold. Con married her. Claimed her as his own. Con did not protect his sunshine girl once. He vows to never let it happen again. But everything slowly unravels ...more

Loved this book! Usually I feel like most duologies are stretched out for no reason but this one did not seem like it. Maybe it was because I was so invested in this i guess. Loved the charecter arcs of Emily and O'Connel. And the side characters from this series are my favourites! Although I wanted them to have some wee ones in this book but I'm still happy with the way this book turned out.
