I'm so not objective about this book. It's beautifully illustrated by Bryan Collier. It is autobiographic and tells an amazing story of a self-taught child musician from New Orleans. I had to google to listen to him play. So worth it.

Great.
(Mock Caldecott September Read) A great introduction to a popular performer. Highlights the musical world he grew up in and the amazing abilities he had at a young age.
So inspiring! I can't wait to pair this with the Two Bobbies, to get a full picture of New Orleans.
