I thoroughly enjoyed re-reading this wonderful classic. It is extremely well-written, with a unique and interesting narrative style, intriguing story line and memorable characters.
This is a gothic romance novel, but the romance between Cathy and Heathcliff is not the main highlight for me for the following reasons. I was not impressed with this book, but that does not surprise me. I was not excited about reading it either, but I am starting a new project that includes reading my way through 100 greatest classic lit novels. So I crossed this one off as soon as possible. There are a few others I am not so thrilled about but mostly this is an exciting adventure.

I remember first discovering about Wuthering Heights in Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight. I was intrigued, but honestly, I wasn’t such a big fan of Bella’s character, so that wasn’t enough motivation for me to pick up the book. But looking back on it, I can understand now why it was referenced in Twilight. It is a similar story of forbidden love and ill-fated attraction.
