This book was fantastic, informational and VERY entertaining. The basic premise of a man stranded on Mars is compelling from the first page and doesn't lighten up. When I describe this book to people I bring up the science aspect and some people think it may come off as boring, but it never does. Mr. Weir both tells us a thrilling, fun and emotional story while also giving us some really great science and math. I did like this book. I loved that it was scienced the shit out of. The suspenseful moments were good but the humor and explanations made the book. I pictured Matt Damon as the voice even before it was made into a movie. The science is what made this really enjoyable for me. I wish that would've translated more in the movie but I suppose this is a book review so that does not matter here. ...more
