Absolutely loved this book. Mark Watney's character is one of the best I have read in a long time, especially with the snarky sarcasm and sense of humor. I was unsure of the direction that this book was going to go, being about one person stranded on Mars, but was pleasantly surprised at how it sucked me in. This was highly entertaining. When Mark Watney is impaled by an antenna while escaping Mars, his crew mates believe him to be dead and are forced to leave without him. Thing is, Mark is not dead. He is now the sole inhabiter of Mars with no communication to Earth, and, if he can just survive several years he may live to greet next Mars mission crew.
